An internationally award-winning, growing Memphis agency, RedRover Sales & Marketing Strategy – named by the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce as one of the “Top 10 Companies to Watch” in 2014 – is seeking a high-performing sales veteran with 7+ years of experience driving revenue growth to join the firm’s senior leadership team.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record selling complex products/services in a B2B environment, with the ideal candidate having Memphis area C-Suite relationships.

Position Overview

The Director of Business Development is responsible for introducing new clients to the firm and, in partnership with our team of marketers and sales trainers, shepherding them through the process of exploring a partnership with RedRover. The Director will develop the right mix of strategies to build a pipeline that grows revenue in RedRover’s target markets. The ideal candidate will have a consultative, solution-oriented philosophy to sales.

This position reports directly to the CEO, and as such, ideal candidates must be comfortable working fairly autonomously within the RedRover framework.

This position will ultimately lead direct reports after consistent achievement of growth targets.

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities.

    • Sales plan development experience
    • Track record of successful C-Suite engagement
    • Prospect qualification abilities
    • Complex problem-solving skills
    • Listening and questioning skills
    • Networking skills
    • Strong proposal-writing experience
    • Sales-presentation development experience
    • CRM knowledge and experience
    • Public-speaking chops are a plus but not required
