Position Overview

RedRover Sales & Marketing Strategy is an internationally award-winning, growing Memphis agency – named by the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce as one of the “Top 10 Companies to Watch” in 2014 and the “Best Places to Work” by the Memphis Business Journal in 2021.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record in writing compelling content in a marketing voice, conveying the importance of marketing and sales strategies, and demonstrating exceptional communication, organization and time management skills. Candidates should also have at least two years in a role where the primary focus was developing sales proposals on behalf of a marketing firm or advertising agency.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identifying and sourcing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) that meet the agency’s “ideal client” guidelines
  • Manage the entire process from start to completion of complex RFPs (writing content, managing the process, working across the organization to assimilate information, adhering to tight deadlines and prepping the internal team for external pitches)
  • Establish timeline with target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval
  • Write, revise and edit drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization overview
  • Produce content related to the RFP needs including but not limited to documents, portfolios, tables of content, visual presentations, etc., 
  • Communicate effectively in person, via email, and via the telephone with both the prospective client and the agency’s creative team on specific projects
  • Collaborate with the agency’s traffic, creative and production teams to complete the RFP and ensure it is delivered on time and on budget
  • Continually assess and update new business content in response to changes in services and client feedback
  • Maintain a proposal database and proposal tracking tools
  • Improve outcomes from RFPs by evaluating and revising process, approach and coordination

Required Abilities, Skills and Requirements

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate or provide the following abilities, skills and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
  • Proficiency in AP style
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Strong analytic, research, and interpersonal skills
  • Have at least two years in a role where the primary focus was developing sales proposals on behalf of a marketing firm or advertising agency
  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
