Catherine (Kitty) Taylor

Catherine (Kitty) Taylor is a 15-year marketing pro focused on strategy development, brand messaging, written storytelling, and crisis communications. For more than five years at RedRover Sales & Marketing Strategy, Kitty has advised on and executed marketing plans for dozens of RedRover clients, among them:

- Leading the pack effort to win the contract and launch the Memphis International Airport’s first strategic marketing plan in 2014/15, which featured the first-ever promotional partnership between the NBA and an airport. The Memphis International Airport’s marketing strategy and implementation tactics have gone on to win numerous industry awards, largely due to the innovative approach of pairing former Grizzlies defenseman Tony Allen with the future-looking message of the hard work and dedication required to rebuild the airport from a former Delta hub with a plethora of connecting flights to an airport that is of Memphis, for Memphis, now nearly exclusively serving local passengers and our guests.

- Writing and presenting the proposed approach that ultimately won RedRover the Memphis Convention Center construction communications contract, a multi-faceted plan to engage and inform local stakeholders about the overhaul and fresh beginning that this key re-development project will ultimately accomplish.

- Setting the tone of voice and strategic message for a multitude of branding and rebranding projects for clients such as Memphis International Airport, C.R. Narayan & Co. Agribusiness Investment Banking, Burch Porter & Johnson, CoBuilt, DreamCatcher Hotels, and several others.

- Defining the response message and delivery techniques for a variety of sensitive and crisis situations at client organizations, such as M&A communications, owner buyout communications, false accusations of company misconduct, and employee relations.

The “hats” Kitty has worn at RedRover have been numerous, including vice president, talent recruiter, marketing team manager, and account lead. As of the summer 2018, she is now dedicated to doubling down on her service and execution for clients by rejoining RedRover’s client service team.

Prior to coming over to RedRover, Kitty’s career was in Washington, D.C., most recently as communications director for what is now known as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. She began her career as the agency editor and marketing coordinator for a prominent (and since acquired) boutique public affairs agency serving multinational companies and national trade associations.

Kitty earned her master’s degree in public communication from American University in Washington, D.C. and her bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Ohio University in Athens.
